19491221011950101On December 2, 1949, the Central People's Government adopted the Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China, which stipulates that October 1 is the National Day of the People's Republic of China and that the day shall be used as the day to proclaim the founding of the People's Republic of China. Since 1950, October 1st has been a festival for the people of all ethnic groups in China.
