There were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hunan during the 24 hours of February 23









During the 24 hours of February 23, there were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19, a disease caused by the novel coronavirus, reported in Hunan. No more victims were in critical condition, no more patient died of the disease, and 17 more patients were discharged from hospitals. 

Among the newly-recovered cases, 2 are in Changsha, 3 in Zhuzhou, 4 in Xiangtan, 2 in Shaoyang, 4 in Yueyang, 1 in Changde, and 1 in Loudi. 

As of 24:00 on February 23, a total of 1,016 cumulativeconfirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, including 145 cumulative in critical condition. Four people had died, and 721 patients had been discharged from hospitals. There are now 25 in critical condition and 291 treated in hospitals. 

Among the confirmed cases, 242 are in Changsha, 48 in Hengyang, 80 in Zhuzhou, 36 in Xiangtan, 102 in Shaoyang, 156 in Yueyang, 82 in Changde, 5 in Zhangjiajie, 59 in Yiyang, 39 in Chenzhou, 43 in Yongzhou, 40 in Huaihua, 76 in Loudi, and 8 in Xiangxi. 

Among the patients who remain in critical condition, 10 are in Changsha, 5 in Zhuzhou, 4 in Shaoyang, 2 in Changde, 1 in Yiyang, and 3 in Loudi. 

Among the dead, there are two in Changsha, and one in Shaoyang and Yueyang each. 

Among the patients who were discharged from hospitals, 143 are in Changsha, 37 in Hengyang, 50 in Zhuzhou, 25 in Xiangtan, 88 in Shaoyang, 91 in Yueyang, 61 in Changde, 5 in Zhangjiajie, 52 in Yiyang, 31 in Chenzhou, 37 in Yongzhou, 38 in Huaihua, 55 in Loudi, and 8 in Xiangxi. 

A total of 26,778 close contacts have been traced, among whom 1,413 are under medical observation while 25,365 others have been discharged.


The numbers of counties and cities in Hunan which have no confirmed cases or new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the continuous 14 days increased to 78

China reports 409 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection,150 new deaths


Chinese health authority Monday said it received reports of 409 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 150 deaths on Sunday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.

Among the deaths, 149 were in Hubei province and one in Hainan province, according to the National Health Commission.

Another 620 new suspected cases were reported Sunday, said the commission.


Sunday saw 1,846 people walk out of hospital after recovery.


A total of 24,734 people had been discharged from hospital after recovery.
