Passenger train derailed by landslide in Hunan, at least 1 dead

At least one person is dead after a passenger train went off the rails and overturned in Hunan province on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at 11:40 am in Yongxing county and involved a train heading from Jinan to Guangzhou.
A preliminary investigation has found that the derailment was caused by a landslide on the tracks. The driver slammed on the emergency brakes but the train still hit the debris, causing five carriages to derail and a fire to start.

By Monday evening, one death had been reported. Four others are severely injured while 123 suffered mild injuries.
