Some schools in Guizhou and Xinjiang reopen for classes

The extended Spring Festival break has come to an end for many students in both Guizhou and Xinjiang with some schools opening back up following the coronavirus epidemic.
On Monday, physical classes resumed for those in grades nine and 12 in the two provinces. Students and faculty all wore masks and had to pass through a health check before entering their schools.

Most classes in China are now being conducted online. However, last week, Qinghai province became the first to reopen its physical schools, less than two months after the outbreak began.

All three of these areas have experienced a comparatively low number of Covid-19 virus cases: 146 in Guizhou, 76 in Xinjiang, and just 18 in Qinghai.
For the moment, officials in Guizhou and Xinjiang are reducing crowding by only reopening for one grade of middle schoolers and one grade of high schoolers. Its not yet been announced when other kids will start back.
Meanwhile, Shanghais schools still remain closed indefinitely.
