FINALLY! Hunan 'Health Card' is Now Available for Foreigners!

The local authorities have re-issued and upgraded the official Hunan electronic "health card" which is widely used by officials, businesses and the local police, to show an individual's health status and gain entry to venues across the city ...and now foreign nationals can sign up!

It now means that (hopefully) foreigners will be able to use the same platform as Chinese nationals when quizzed about their health status and movements (via mobile data tracking) allowing you to enter museums, parks and other great places of interest this May holiday and beyond!

Below, WNIC has outlined how you can get your card:

STEP 1: SCAN THE CODE

(ENLARGE THE PIC AND LONG PRESS)

Press "follow" to access the account

 ''

STEP 2: HIT 'HEALTH CARD'

STEP 3: TAP ON 'ADD OTHER'

STEP 4: COMPLETE THE FORM

Notes

For ID type: Select the first option for 'Passport'

For Ethnicity: Select the last option for 'other' (meaning foreigners)

If your ID number is shorther than nine digits, try adding an 'X' at the end

STEP 5: YOUR HEALTH CARD WILL BE DISPLAYED

If you have any feedback or questions, you can contact the organisers of the card via the official wechat account (above).

No need to contact WNIC.
