Daily Update on COVID-19 Cases
in Hunan on April 15





During the 24 hours of April 15, Hunan reports no new confirmed COVID-19 cases.

As of 24:00 on April 15, a total of 1,019 cumulativeconfirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, and 1,014 patients had been discharged from hospitals.

During the 24 hours of April 15, no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported in Hunan. There were no new cases out of quarantine. One is under medical observation, who is an imported case.

A total of 27,413 close contacts have been traced, all of whom have been discharged.

Chinese health authority said on Thursday it received reports of 46 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Wednesday, among which 12 were domestically contracted and 34 were imported.

The Chinese mainland registered no deaths and four new suspected cases on Wednesday.

According to the National Health Commission, 76 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery, while the number of severe cases decreased by 18 to 95.

As of Wednesday, the mainland had reported a total of 1,534 imported cases. Of the cases, 636 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery and 46 were in severe condition, said the commission.

Also on Wednesday, 64 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported on the mainland, including three imported ones. The commission said 1,032 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation, including 217 from abroad.

The latest data released by the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday showed that the number of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases outside China reached 18311171.

According to the WHO's daily outbreak report, the number of newly confirmed cases outside China increased by 70033 from the previous day to 1831,171 as of 10:00pm cet (16:00 GMT). The number of deaths outside China increased by 5,988 from the previous day to 119,658.

Globally, the number of newly confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 7,082 from the previous day to 1,914,916. The number of deaths increased by 5,989 to 123,010 from the previous day.
