"China Youth May Fourth Medal"



    On Mar 20, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC)
announced the shortlisted individuals (Group) of the 24th "China Youth May 4th Medal" and announced the list of individuals who were awarded the anti-epidemic for the 24th "China Youth May 4th Medal". Among them, Luo Xiaoxiao, Yi Zhaoquan of Hunan province, and the Department of Intensive Medicine of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University are listed. Song Yingjie and Wang Diaobing were posthumously awarded the 24th "China Youth May Fourth Medal"


Yi Zhaoquan, male, born in July 1982, is currently the director of the Department of Intensive Medicine of the First People's Hospital of Xiangtan City, deputy chief physician, and master tutor of Nanhua University. 

As the first batch of Xiangtan City to support the medical team leader of Huanggang City in Hubei Province and the secretary of the temporary party branch, he participated in the design and renovation of the intensive and critically ill wards at the centralized treatment point, and organized 10 rescues and carried out 139 bedside ultrasound and other treatment work.


Luo Xiaoxiao, male, born in December 1996, is currently deputy secretary general of the Huaihua Volunteer Association. After the epidemic broke out, he and his team partners started online "easy to raise", donated masks and other materials to the frontline of anti-epidemic, donated nucleic acid detection kit sworth 200,000 yuan, and purchased insurance for 2,426 frontline medical staff.



The team of the Department of Intensive Medicine of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University actively assisted the front line of Hubei, and successively sent 3 batches of 17 people to support Wuhan. In the epidemic prevention process, the department rescued and treated 157 patients with critical illness. 


Wang Diaobing, male, was born in March 1987. He was a police officer of Shuidongjiang Town Police Station of Shaodong City Public Security Bureau. During the epidemic, he devoted himself to the prevention and control of the epidemic. On the evening of January 30, after working continuously for eight days on the front line, Wang Diaobing suffered an acute sudden cardiac, and unfortunately died after being rescued. He was only 32 years old.


Song Yingjie, male, was born in November 1992. During his lifetime, he was the deputy head of the pharmacy group at Maji Hospital, Hengshan County, Hunan Province. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, he gave up the opportunity to reunite with his family, sticking to the front line of the toll station at the East Lake intersection of Xuguang Expressway, and carrying out body temperature measurement, inquiries and inspections, and epidemic prevention knowledge promotion for the in and out personnel. In the early morning of February 3, 2020, after returning to the dormitory, he died suddenly, only 27 years old.
