Robots help students graduate at this university

A most unusual graduation ceremony was recently held at the Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications in Jiangsu province.
Video from the ceremony shows a pair of robots dressed in robes rolling up to a professor to receive their diplomas. The professor switches the tassels on their hats before miming handing them their graduation certificate.
The robots heads have been replaced with tablets where the students who are actually graduating watch the ceremony. From the screen, the students wave at their professor and make heart symbols with their hands.

While the university reopened to students in April, not all could make it back because of pandemic restrictions.

To make sure that 10 masters students didnt miss their own graduation, the school ended up borrowing a couple of machines from the robotics department and making some adjustments.
