Shanghai reports first new domestic coronavirus case since March

Shanghai has reported its first domestic coronavirus case in more than two months.
The patient is a 21-year-old student from Qianjiang in Hubei province who studies at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in Wuhan and arrived in Shanghai on May 14 to start his internship.
On the following day, he voluntarily went to the hospital for coronavirus testing. While his nucleic acid test was negative and he showed no symptoms, his serological test came back positive.
He has since been put into quarantine and has developed symptoms, Shanghais health authority said on Monday morning.
So far, 20 close contacts in Shanghai have been tracked down and put under observation. Meanwhile, the public places that he visited, including the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and the Shanghai Maiju Hotel, have been disinfected.
Officially, the case is Shanghais first domestic infection since March 2. Since the outbreak began, the city has reported only 340 local cases.
Over the last few months, imported cases have been the citys main concern. A total of 326 imported cases have been reported in Shanghai but no new ones on Monday.
