Stranded white dolphin saved after 7-hour rescue operation

In a nice moment for humanity this week, a team of do-gooders managed to rescue a Chinese white dolphin that had become stuck in the mud.
Fishermen in Taishan, Guangdong province noticed the dolphin stranded in the shallows of an inland river on May 3 and called authorities for help.
Footage from the scene shows three men attempting to pry the animal loose while pouring water over its body to make sure that it does not dehydrate.
The rescue operation took seven hours to complete but in the end it was a success. One of the rescuers can be seen smiling as the dolphin starts to swim away.
