Man spotted rowing across flooded river on raft to buy groceries

As Chinas Yangtze River region experiences record flooding this month, some people are taking all that water in stride.
While evacuating residents in the Jiangxi city of Shangrao on Sunday, firefighters in boats out on the Xinjiang River spotted a man calmly crouched down on a self-made canoe, rowing himself across the water.

Firefighters quickly flagged the man down, brought him to the safety of their boat, and gave him a life jacket.
When they asked what in the world he was doing, he told them that he was just out to buy some groceries.
